Tal, I spent my entire saturday catching up with the U-20 World Cup and spotted very many talents with Capell of Spain ontop of my list. But the most disappointing thing is how those youngsters fear to score goals. Spain should have won that game easily but disappointed too much infron of goal - Pique and Bueno being my biggest culprits. Thir loss in the shoot outs (against the Czech boys) is a lesson they deserve to learn. Then the US with all their advantages on their side with Adu and co, still fail to go past Austria. It's amazing that the technically better teams are missing the point by playing with complacency and thus being knocked out by 'minnows' who seem to have a point to prove like Austria and the Czechs.
I hope the semis will produce more serious performances |

Well here is the latest news from the tournament and it is virtually all bad.
Nigerian coach Bosso is being investigated by FIFA for racism based on numerous comments that the english ref was clearly against the Nigerians.
His major complaint was that the first goal scored by Chile was offside. Having seen it many times the Nigerian player was very late coming off the goal line and getting back to the top of the box. This made all the Chileans in the box onside....http://www.fifa.com/u20worldcup/video/videolist.html

Czech's beat Austria in the semi's The Czech's have been underrated and under everyone's radar the whole time so they are now in the final with Argentina.
In the other semi Chile lost to Argentina 3-0 but the score line does give the correct impression.
Chile went one man done just after Argentina had scored a brilliant strike by Di Maria at the 12th minute of the FH.
Medel of Chile was ejected at the 14th for deliberately kicking an Argentine player down on the touch line. (yes it was deliberate as we were in the stands right in front of were it happened.)
From there the German ref managed to let blatent fouls by Argentina go unpunished and it seemed every call was against Chile.
(let this be a lesson to young players don't piss off the ref) Someone had to have said something. Chile ended up with 7 yellows and 2 reds.
They finished the game with only 9 men but were still trying to score.
None of the goals were the keepers fault and the first two were brilliant pieces of work from Argentina.
However once it became apperent how the game was being called the Argentine players seemed to fall without too much contact.
Even the Argentine fans started to boo the calls since the game was out of control of the officials.
To top it all off the Chilean players were so upset at their defeat they started to trash the team bus and smash out the windows which resulted in the police intervening and another riot ensued.
Chile's consul general has asked for a formal appology from Canada and the Toronto Police force.
The ironic coment from the consul general was we treat our players different in their dealing with the police which resulted in a retort of "our players are not criminals who trash their bus and assault the police..." Never let it be said Canada has soccer gods...
It did not help that several off the officers assaulted were female officers....
IN Short FIFA F**ks up yet again!!
Where are the professional refs?
Why is it certain teams never seem to be able to contol their players or fans?
Why do they keep letting the game get a black eye from this SHITE!
Also my last rant why were their still blocks of empty seats? Also why when I bought my tickets last year do I have worse seats than people who bought a month ago!!

I'm very dissapointed 'bout, that, a interesting tournament and it's all messed up, I like this tournament, I like watching young players and figuring wich ones may turn to something special, but I don't like to see them fighting, not at that age, pretty lamentable.
Plus I'm disspointed about something Tal said, such as his seats, sounds very unfair.
And I agree on Tal, about FIFA, they suck |

Well in an hour we are off to the 3rd place game and the Final
Austria - Chile will contend for the 3rd spot.
Argentina - Czech Rep. content in the final...
It will be a very interesting set of games.
