I surely hope he ain't the one...and sure he ain't the big transfer that we have been promised in the last month...is too old, we can't be sure his knee will hold up for long and he is professinality is not top notch...

On top of that I thikn 15mln for a 30yo is way too much even if is Ronaldo.....better off buying someone younger and possibly eager to make himself a name (Sobis)...

welcome aboard la argentinita, out of shape you say, that's very kind of you
El Gordo, as they call him in Spain, somehow managed to put some quality stuff on display last month in Germany but that was his swan song - no disrespect intended, round shaped lump sounds more like it

Roni is out-a shape, maybe he scores one goal... but in that goal he uses all his energies, he doesn't play any better in all the match... H e isn't the big signing we've been waiting for, we all have expected Ibra, Tevez, El Nino Torres, etc. etc. not this kind-a player old, slow, etc. he is not good any more, although Ancelotti said Milan wasn't interested in him, if he saiys it, may be true, maybe other rumor invented by the spanish media (how I hate that suckers) as the one of Kaka, etc. I hope he doesn't come and someone else comes, I think what we need is a young player wich we could do the same we did with Ricky, transfor him in one of the best players of the world... NOT RONI PLEASE! I THINK WE ALL AGREE IN THAT

Just found this one from the Toronto Star of all places.

Madrid boss: AC Milan keen on Ronaldo
Aug. 15, 2006. 10:56 AM
ASSOCIATED PRESS

MADRID, Spain — Brazil striker Ronaldo wants to stay with Real Madrid despite interest from AC Milan.

"Milan wants him, and that's certain. They suggested a move through (Ariedo) Braida, the one in charge of their signings, who said he had spoken to the player," Madrid president Ramon Calderon told sports daily Marca on Tuesday. "From the people close to him I know he wants to stay although in soccer anything can happen."

Ronaldo, who spent five years in Milan with rival inter before joining Madrid in 2002, has two years left on his contract. Last season, he threatened to leave Madrid due to criticism from supporters.

Madrid coach Fabio Capello reportedly prefers recent signing Ruud van Nistelrooy in attack. Ronaldo, sidelined with a knee injury, has yet to play under Capello.

Yet Calderon, who is hoping to end Madrid's three-year drought without a trophy, said a place in the team could be found for Ronaldo.

"I want to speak to him, and of course (sports director Predrag) Mijatovic. Fabio says that he could play with van Nistelrooy," he said.

Spanish reports last weekend suggested Madrid could offer Ronaldo to Milan in exchange for Kaka, who was a transfer target of Calderon's before he was elected president.

Yet Calderon said Capello believes the more defensive Mahamadou Diarra of Lyon would suit Madrid's needs more than Kaka.

"He (Kaka) would have been marvellous for us but perhaps this year isn't the right time," Calderon said. "Kaka wants to come. Firstly because he would earn what he wouldn't earn anywhere else and secondly because he would gain in prestige.

"The doubt is whether it is worth spending so much money when the coach's priority is someone else who goes by the name of Diarra."

Javo we all agree HE is not what we need.
Why anyone considers this an option is beyond me especially if the cost is Kaka in trade. Further to that when will this Shite over kaka moving end.
He has categorically stated he is happy with Milan and will not move!
He knows he is the future and also he is not stupid enough to not have learned what a misatke Judashenko has made.
I get the funny feeling we still may see Sheva back in red and black and that it was all a bad mistake.

What is quite obviousis that with Capello (b******o) at the helm he has no time or place at real for Ronaldo. So yet again he overstays his welcome at yet another club.

Sorry to rant but the pastis is good tonight. What does anyone think Ronaldo can do for Milan at his age when he was incapable of doing it for inter for 5 straight years?!!? OR am I missing something?

Ronaldo was a great player, and the keyword is WAS.....like GMT said I believe the world cup was his swan song, he needed the goals to go down in history as the most prolific world cup scorer and he did it....is not phisically fit enough to play for us, not just for his weight problems but also for his weak knees...Real sold us one Redondo already we do not need to waste money on Ronie....if we can score a no cost load for a year I could (enphasys on could) agree to the transfer...but not using money that can be spent on a wingback or a central defender....or even a keeper like Amelia...
