Well well well the LA Galaxy have gone and signed David Beckham for a 5 year contract to end his playing days in the MLS.
Seeing as the MLS has just added Toronto FC as its latest club and with Beckam coming on board, I felt it was time to open a new forum on the league. The advantage is the season is April to October which gives us something to speculate over the summer months.
As an interesting side note I was at my favorite AC Milan sportstore this morning and they can't wait to get LA Galaxy jerseys in having already sold 10...
This can only be good for the league personally I would like Figo to jump league also.

Becks to LA till the end of his footballing career, must admit that i have no idea whatsoever about what that jersey looks like, anyway, wOw - i would have thought he was about to move home back to the UK, this came completely out of the blue, gobsmaking if anything
isn't Figo set to move to Saudi Arabia or somewhere nearby? |

Figo's move was because he insulted the fans by asking TOO much money to play in the gulf.
Now they are talking Ronaldo "el gordo".
As far as the Jersey MLS teams have a bad habit of changing the designs and colours even too often.
Solid Yellow with a wide dark green diagonal stirpe (like River Plate) with fine black trim.
Check it out at the site.

Welcome to North American Sports contracts boys. And for those who hate Il Calcio Moderno it is all funded by TV revenues and has nothing to do with bums in seats at the stadium.
You will notice all purpose built stadiums will be in the less than 30000 range capacity.
Toronto's is a 20000 purpose built stadium.
Here is a slide show. http://www.flickr.com/photos/martingroo ... 1317/show/
Another interesting thing is Toronto got over 200 more season ticket holders within hours of the Beckham signing.
Get a couple more the likes of Figo and dare I say it Ronaldo and you will be filling stadiums this side of the pond this summer. |

that's right, just checked LA Galaxy home ground, looks tiny doesn't it
well just heard Bucks saying he's not going over to the US for the money, reassuring statement that is, phew!
having said that i do not hate il calcio moderno, that definition of football doesn't make much sense to me - but this is a different story altogether |

You know I just realized something;
Once Sheva's wife hears of this he could end up playing in the MLS sooner than later.
Then she won't have any trouble with teaching thier kids english... I guess this too is another topic. |
