sky through the night came up with henry as likely target
Ranieri's turned down ManC offer, the delay over the takeover of the club led him to opt for a three year contract with juve, he just couldn't say no |

javo_22 ha scritto: I've read about the Man U signings, I think the tendency now is to sign young promises for development proyects, certainly, thet tendency may have been started with the signing of Kaka, and I think we have t o continue with that, qith the veterans we have, we can give us some time to develop players, and if someone wins a starting position, lets hope its for the team's best, something like wat happened with Kaka beating up Rui Costa and Rivaldo for the starting place, Gourcuff is developing nicely and there's more players out there hoping to sogn with a good team, as well as some fans hoping to sign young players, as we do.
Nothing wrong with the strategy and your comments javo. What astounds me though is the price. 3 players 110 Million!! The Gilletts seem to be the next Abramovich's. |

| Correct, the Malcolm Glazer family own Man United and say they are willing to splash upto 50 million pounds on new players this transfer window and after buying Hargreaves, Nani and Anderson I don't know what is left in their coffers. Hicks and Gillet are the Liverpool owners and have also pledged to give Rafa (Benitez) as much funds as needed to assmble a formidable side that will challenge Chelsea and Man United for the Premiership crown |

Gilletts Glazer's does it matter? In the end it was an investment and do any of them truly love football?
My appologies to the forum on mea culpa. |

| Tal, those American tycoons only look at business and not sports. Glazer clearly said he didn't even know one Man United player when he bought the club. He did it because it was the richest club in the world and so had great business potential. But his sons have been sighted alot in the Old Trafford's director's box during matches and they seem to enjoy the sport. May be that is why they upped their initail lid of strickly £25m per transfer season to £50m now. It lloks like they are starting to enjoy soccer. Gillet and Hicks were more clear sayign they wanted to associate with the most prestigious english club as well as compete with tycoons like the Glazers, Abramovich et al. Let's hope their presence will improve not destroy English football. |
