Pato, a youngstar from brasil could be a good signing. Leaonardo is actively talking to and looking to the possibility to get him to Milan.

The news coming out of Brazil is very positive but expensive.
Pato himself is very flattered by all the attention and is excited about the prospect of playing for Milan and his heros Kaka/Ronaldo/Cafu/Dida/Serigiho.
The fact remains the bid is going to be in the 20 Million Euro range to aquire him in January.
The date of january is significant since he does not turn 18 till then.
The signing will bring back memories of a very young Kaka joining Milan.
I do have some reservations that he will make the same kind of immediate impact that Kaka did when he first arrived.
Further he does need to develop much more as a player.
In one of the U20 games he played here in Canada that I watched he missed a chip shot with the keeper off the line that he should have had after he broke in alone with time to spare... |

| With €20m Milan could acquire a proven forward than Pato...nevertheless he can be signed and sent to the Primavera like Novinic from Slovenia so that he can develop. Kaka came at 22 and this guy (Pato) is just 17, so it will be better to havehim developed until he is 20 like Gourcuff then he can be tried on the senior team |

| Nice point Obita, know this guy makes me remember something similar we experienced last year, when we were looking for Sheva's replacement, with Sobis (if I remember his name) was coming, he's young too, know this makes me wonder, who's a better prospect, Sobis or Pato, any idea? |

| Where has Sobis disappeared? I remember he moved to Spain and like Frenandezin Villarea that is where his name ended with no impact. Since winning the Toyota Cup with Internaçional in Tokyo last December Pato has been up there and so I would chose Pato. |

Now, Pato has released a new statement, saying that he will wait 2 weeks to make the choice for where to play, inter or Milan, although there are reports that say that Chelsea and Madrid are interested too.
If it comes to that, i think we have the edge on any other team because our roster is full of brazilians and he would find a better atmosphere with similar life-styles. Another point is our advantage is that he knows how Kaka started, and seeing him now, I think it will push him to select us, without mentioning that we have a great team, we have the best player of the world and we are cahmpions of Europe, what other thing would you ask for? |

Javo, the disappointing thing seems to be a fact that Pato just wants to move to Europe because there is a statement claiming he is dreaming of Chelsea yet days ago he claimed his heart was with Milan....
So this superkid needs some guidance. |

Well we can no longer say the team is not looking to the future.
Lets hope he delivers on his potential promise as well as Kaka has so far.
The contract is for 5 years and Milan paid 20Million dollars US to break his contract with his current club.
Seems a bit steep quite frankly considering some of the talent I saw this summer at the U20 WC. |

| The long opera finally comes to an end....and Milan are the winners. Good one! Hopefully it is worth it and Pato will justify that he is as much as the hype gathered around him. Good luck to the kid. |
