Okay here is something for all of us to get into; Where does Uefa get off with a measly 60000 swiss franc fine to Celtic for something that could have had a much more terrible outcome, yet Dida gets a 2 game suspension for being a goof?
HAve some of the much longer term members have some historical incites into similar situations? 2 games is a bit harsh considering what refs have not called in games that have resulted in injuries ad UEFA has done nothing to change those rulings. |

They both deserve their punishment. What Dida did was very stupid: you give a chase then collapse to a simple graze on the neck. He was just covering up for his heartbreaking display.
Celtics fine is a fat joke and they should have lost the right to host games in their ground for at least one year plus a hefty fine |

It definitely was a slap on the wrist for Celtic.
Dida embaressed Milan with his actions.
Can Milan fine its own players for questionable actions especially on the field of play? Many pro sports do in North America just to stop this sort of stupidity... |

A.C Milan will never fine that idiot because if they did so, who would garantee them that the player would still put the same effort during the matches ? he is ridiculous now, he would be worse afterwoods.
Dida embaressed the fans more than anyoneelse because we differ from other italian fans. much better losing 3-0 rather than give this impression to europe. |

| Galliani is right behind his man ranting "UEFA is too harsh and bias on Dida" I wonder what UEFA did to invoke those theatrics in him! The best will be to just shut up and look ahead. I hope Offredi (Daniel - our Primavera goalie) will be given a chance between the post because Kalac always try to preform worse than Dida because he seem to feel it is wrong to perform better than your superior in a position..... |

mac73ultrarossonero, thanks for the comments.
I felt the same way after Gilardino did his dive in the box last year.
It takes away from the game and hurts your club.
It would be nice if Ancelotti was able to bench him but unfortunately Galliani is catering to the colony right now and won't piss any of the Brazilians off for the sake of Kaka.
He could just about hang out the door sign "Brazillians need only apply" |

| Brazilians are only Good from the center of the pitch towards the opponents goal...in the other half they are disastrous. To be honest, there are no clearly top class Brazilian goalkeepers and defenders compared to those from Europe and in particular Italia. For attack, they can apply, but for the backlines they better not dream.....look at Digao or Cafu, they have been overshadowed by all including Bonera and Favalli whom i don't rate too highly |

Unfortunately the attendance of dida in every match occurs becuase of the 4.5mil euro the footballer earns each year.
I know for sure that it's more than one year that very few people in the team talk to him. Including brazilians.
Gilardino's dive would have won at least a bronze medal in the last olympics.
I get mad at these things because i belive he is a very strong player and strong players don't need to do these dives.
In only one situation i allow this to occur--
The derby.
If then it happens in the last minute of the match and we are given a penalty which gives us the 1-0 even better.
The derby is not a footballmatch, its milans dominance therefore everything is allowed and winning in this way is the best way. |

Don't worry about the derby because this year it is going to be hell for inter when Dida has picked up a 'long-term injury' and we have Danielle Offredi in goal.
Ronaldo will be back then and Kaka will be too too much FIRE for those senseless Linate lunats.
Bottom line Dida will remain my phobia until he retires or leaves Milan. Former Brazil and Corinthians coach Alberto Parriera (Dida's mentor) has advised him to leave Milan for his own sake and I wish very much that he listens to that advice. |
